Homicide in the City of Muskegon

 At 22:27 hrs, April 13th, 2016, Officers of the Muskegon Police Department were dispatched to the area of Laketon Ave near McIlwraith St, on a report of a shot heard. Officers arrived on scene to find Ja-mall Thelonious KITCHEN,age 19 of Norton Shores, lying in the roadway. Officers administered first aid and performed CPR on KITCHEN who had an apparent gunshot wound to his head. KITCHEN was transported to a local Hospital where he died as a result of his wound.  

This incident is still being actively investigated by Muskegon Police Department Detectives.
