Muskegon Heights-based Webb Chemical Plans $4 Million Expansion, Looking to Hire

Webb Chemical currently pulls 10% of its staff from within the city limits of Muskegon Heights. Webb CFO and owner Brad Hilleary indicated that many jobs available of late or will be available soon are warehousing jobs. Ability to operate a forklift is necessary, but more importantly chemical handling experience is of high importance. “Chemicals scare people,” said Hilleary. “I need that comfort level of someone who’s had that experiences before.”

5K Run and First Annual Golf Outing Planned For Muskegon Heights Festival in the Park

The timing of the festival makes it the last 5K before the annual Seaway Run, which the festival’s organizers hope will spur interest. Mayor pro tem Kimberly Sims and city staff indicated that the festival would be contacting organizers of other run and walk vents in the area to invite those events’ usual participants to run in the Heights 5K.
