The Muskegon Summer Celebration Board of Trustees has decided not to bring the festival back in 2012. Citing the past few years as being tough financially, the Board felt it could not risk further financial set backs.
Summer Celebration’s Executive Director says the festival generates $14 million for the Muskegon area every year, and spreading out 2010’s costs will keep the festival afloat.
