Muskegon Heights Police Officer to receive the Purple Heart

Officer Robert Kooi, of the Muskegon Heights Police Department has been
awarded the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police (MACP) Medal of Honor and the Purple Heart. Officer Kooi was shot in the line of duty on July 6, 2019.
The Executive Director of the MACP will be presenting these awards to Officer Kooi on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 beginning at 2:00 pm on the football field of the Muskegon Heights High School Academy located at 2441 Sanford St. Social distancing restrictions will be followed and masks/facial coverings must be worn during this presentation.
