Homicide in Glen Oaks

On December 30th, 2020, at approximately 03:42am, Officers of the Muskegon Police Department responded to the 500 blk of Glen Oaks Drive on a report of shots fired in the area.

Officers arriving on scene located an 18 year old Muskegon man, Branson Cooper, who was found to be suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest. Cooper was transported by ambulance to Mercy ER for treatment. He has succumbed to his wounds and died. Several subjects of interest are in custody regarding this shooting. An investigation is currently ongoing.
