Other buildings the Muskegon Area Arts Council plans to paint at this time include the Tipsy Toad on W. Western Avenue, the Red Lotus Gallery near Hartshorn Marina, and Dreamers Blues Bar on Pine Street near the Kobza Hall of Justice.

Lea Markowski, of 1223 Ducey, lives in Muskegon’s Marquette Neighborhood, the most northeast neighborhood within city limits. The field of candidates for the open seat included former commissioners Bill Larson and Chris Carter as well as the pastor of Bluffton Church Hugh Kallen and Dylan Hock, a member of Occupy Muskegon.
Dr. Donald Weatherspoon indicated he would have an answer from the Michigan Department of Treasury around August 1 regarding restructuring of the district’s debt.
Residents looking to apply for appointment to Gawron’s at-large, vacant commission seat must submit a letter of intent to the city clerk’s office by 4 p.m. on July 18.
More decisions would be made at next Monday’s 4 p.m. board meeting, followed by a district unity gathering at the high school at 5:30. The hiring process will begin starting tomorrow, according to Mosaica’s president.
Warmington indicated he would continue to serve on the violent crime task force he formed two years ago, continue to advocate for the consolidation of services across multiple municipalities, own and operate the Marine Tap Room and “take a different tack” on getting rid the “archaic” civil service system the city is again trying to eliminate this year.
