Mayoral Candidate Dorothy Scott
Dorothy was born in St. Louis MO, came to Muskegon when she was 3 weeks old and has lived her entire life here. She worked for the State of Michigan as a Parole Agent and retired in 2002. She received her Associate’s Degree from Muskegon Community College (MCC) and her bachelors in Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University. Dorothy has spent her whole life involved in housing, education and healthcare for the underserved. She continues to teach Criminal Justice at MCC as she has for 17 years. She has served on the board of Every Woman’s Place (a local emergency shelter) and the Muskegon Corrections Board. Dorothy brings passion, commitment and experience to her board work at MFC. Dorothy is also a Board Member of West Michigan Therapy Inc.
