Edgewood Elementary Students “College Vision” and “Art Work”

Edgewood Elementary has worked very hard throughout the school year. Their 5th grade students are focused on being college bound and look forward to taking part in the school’s College Commitment Ceremony on June 10th at Baker College. Edgewood Elementary is also very proud of fifth grader Elijah Green. His art work was featured at the Muskegon Museum of Art and was recently purchased by the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District for display in their building. Great job Edgewood Elementary Students!

Muskegon Superintendent Sets Budget Cut Targets Ahead of Sending Deficit Plan to State

Muskegon Public Schools superintendent Jon Felske believes the district needs to cut approximately $7.2 million from its budget next year to be out of its deficit within the two years mandated by the state.

Muskegon Heights Charter System the First in County to Run Classes Year-Round

District educational services operator Mosaica Education has repeatedly stated that a year-round school year will help students retain knowledge that otherwise is lost in a 3-month summer break.
