The Muskegon Lady Reds girls basketball team has officially etched their name in the record books, capturing the program’s first-ever state championship. In a season defined by resilience, unity, and relentless determination, the Lady Reds rose to the top and delivered a championship performance that will be remembered for generations.
In the championship game, Muskegon defeated Detroit Renaissance with a final score of 34–29, sealing the historic victory and bringing home the title in a hard-fought defensive battle.
From the opening tip of the season to the final buzzer, this team showcased discipline, talent, and heart. Their journey wasn’t just about wins—it was about building a legacy. Game after game, the Lady Reds proved they belonged among the elite, culminating in a championship moment that brought pride to the entire 231 community.
