Homicide in the City of Muskegon Heights

On 10/24/21 at 2:24 am the Muskegon Heights Police Department was dispatched to a
shooting at the Shell Mart located at 1 W. Sherman. Officers were advised one person had
been shot and still in the store. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim a 27 y/o
black male who was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where he later passed away
from his injuries. A second victim a 31 y/o black male arrived at the hospital by a private
vehicle and is currently being treated for his injuries.

The Muskegon Heights Police department were assisted by Muskegon PD, Muskegon
Township PD, Roosevelt Park PD, Norton Shores PD, Fruitport Township PD and the
Michigan State Police.
Detectives from the Muskegon Heights Police Department and the Michigan State Police
have identified suspects in this case and are diligently working strong leads in order to
quickly apprehend the suspects involved in this homicide.
