Homicide in the city of Muskegon
The Muskegon Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred earlier today in the City of Muskegon.
At 12:50am today police responded to the 1300 block of 5th Street on a report of a subject who had been shot while walking in the area.
Officers located the victim, 17 year old Elijah Jaquan Henderson, of Muskegon, who had been shot and was unresponsive. He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Health Partners where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses to this incident or persons with additional information are asked to contact Muskegon County Central Dispatch 911 or Silent Observer at 72- CRIME
