GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (July 8, 2026) – GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, Anthony Hamilton, is coming to Van Andel Arena on October 16 at 8 p.m. with Leela James and Raheem DeVaughn. Fans will get the opportunity to experience an unforgettable night as the highly celebrated artists perform their chart-topping hits live.

Proclaimed a “national treasure” by the Los Angeles Times, GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and actor Anthony Hamilton has achieved global sales of more than 50 million albums. The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductee notably performed for Nelson Mandela,
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, and most recently President Joe Biden, cementing his place in the history books as the “narrator of love.” Introduced by way of the iconic 2003 smash “Charlene” his raw, awe-inspiring performances garnered the attention of NPR, where he starred in their “Noteworthy” documentary series. He appeared in “American Gangster” and lent his voice to “Freedom” from the Academy® Award-nominated “Django Unchained.” Hamilton sang the national anthem at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in his hometown of Charlotte and released his 10th full-length studio album, “Love Is the New Black” amid all the racial injustices of George Floyd and the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Joining Hamilton will be powerhouse vocalist Leela James, whose raw, soulful delivery and commanding presence have made her one of the most dynamic voices in contemporary R&B. Known for fan favorites
such as “Fall for You,” “Music” and “Complicated,” James brings a deeply emotional, blues-rooted sound
that resonates with audiences worldwide.
Rounding out the lineup is GRAMMY® Award-winning singer
and platinum songwriter Raheem DeVaughn, a masterful architect of soul music who has continuously
ascended the ranks of artistic brilliance. Crowned the No. 1 independent artist on radio in 2019, he has
carved out a unique space for himself. In 2024, he served as a panelist at the White House Mental
Health Summit and performed at the White House as part of the Juneteenth celebration alongside Patti
LaBelle, Charlie Wilson and Kirk Franklin. He also earned a Billboard Top 10 hit with the Isley Brothers
remake of “Let’s Fall in Love.”
