Update: The Muskegon Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred earlier today in the City of Muskegon.

Update: Please arrest 17 year old suspect in the Murder of Andrea Charvelle Parnell. Antonio Dequary Ramsey was charged with open murder today in Muskegon County Court.

The Muskegon Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred earlier today in the City of Muskegon.

At 6:55am today, police responded to a house in the 500 block of Orchard Avenue to make contact with an assault victim. They encountered 19 year old Andrea Charvelle Parnell of Muskegon, who had been found unresponsive. She was transported to a Muskegon hospital where it was discovered she was the victim of a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at approximately 9:48am. An autopsy has been scheduled for early this week.

Police are continuing to investigate. We are seeking additional witnesses and gathering more evidence. The Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office has been called on for assistance.
