The Muskegon Jam for Peace Festival “Showed us what is right about Muskegon!”
Around 800 people showed up on a Chilly Saturday afternoon in September. They had one purpose & they shared one wish.
They prayed for all the violence to stop in our community.
With all the violenced that happen over the summer, The Muskegon Jam for Peace Festival feature entertainment, exhibits, games,
vendors & lectures from folks with different backgrounds. All with messages of Peace.
The Festival was sponsored by 103.7 The Beat, West Michigan Therapy, Muskegon Oceana Community Action Center, Muskegon Community Foundation & Muskegon United Way.
Special donations by Plumbs, Roger Spoelman, Classic Computers & Little River Casino.
The Festival which was held Saturday ,September 25, 2010 at Muskegon’s Marsh Field started off with a community prayers & introduction by the Honorable Mayor Steve Warmington.
Over 31 Vendors displayed there services and showcased different opportunites that were available.
There were free Rides & Cotton Candy for the kids.
