Police seeking shooting suspect

​Muskegon Police are asking for the publics help in locating 29 year old Ricky Meeks of Muskegon. Meeks is 6 foot tall and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He also goes by the nickname “Mel C”.
​Meeks is wanted for questioning reference the shooting of 29 year old Germaine Buchanan of Muskegon. Buchanan was shot last night in the 400 block of Isabella Ave. and remains hospitalized at Mercy Health Partners in fair condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Meeks is to be considered armed and dangerous. If you should see him or know where he is at, do not approach him but notify police by calling 911. You can also call Silent Observer at 231-722-7463 with any information you may have about Meeks or the shooting. Thank you.
