Miles is the first African-American to hold the position, and was appointed to the post in 2012 by the Obama administration. Muskegon County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson and Muskegon Heights Police Chief Lynne Gill joined the second segment of the interview.
“I think it would help all of us if the state would take the lead to the issues in that law,” said Muskegon Mayor Steve Warmington. “A lot of people are taking their own interpretations of what this law is.”
With both pro- and anti-medical marijuana factions not 100% happy with the city's new regulations on where medical marijuana can be grown and dispensed, Mayor Steve Warmington and several commissioners urged understanding and patience as the rollout progresses.
